I Like wines

Welcome to I like Wines

Wine exists for our senses and can only be assessed by our senses.  It is a sensory experience. Really, no other measure has any meaning. When we open a bottle of wine, no matter how beautiful the label or how much it cost, we either:

a) Enjoy

b) Like it

c.) Can tolerate it

d) Absolutely hate

We created this I Like Wines Page to assist you with your wine journey and to be a wine notes (review) site. So you to give your opinion on the wines you drink. We love exploring new wines. Sometimes we buy wines just because of how the label looks, how it is wrapped, or a fun name. In many stores, there are no signs providing us a hint of what the wines may taste like, and the label may not give an appropriate indication.  sometimes when we try new wine sometimes it is a hit and sometimes it is a miss.

So… Send us your pictures of the wines you have tasted, along with a taste description.  Please tell us your name and where you are in the world, and let us know if it is ok for us to share your information.  we will post your wine note.  Email us at: glenda@Kwantumusa.com.

We look forward to hearing from you, tasting your recommendations and seeing you at one of our I Like Wines  events.

Cricova Merlot

Cricova merlot    Product of: Moldova  11 % Vol.

semi-sweet wine

I decided to try this wine simply because of the wrapped label. It looked so special the winemakers took their time wrapping the bottle. It stood out from the rest of the wines.

As you open this wine, you can smell the bouquet of aromas. The wine has a smell of berries with a deep rich ruby color. In the taste, you can feel a lot of cherry and plum. Not very tannic and not overly sweet. It has a fresh, light-tasting, very palatable, easy-drinking wine with a hint of sweetness.

A great buy and taste for the price point. A definite buy again.

Cunumdrun

Conundrum Red Blend-This wine, the 2015 California Red Blend, is a blend of Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Zinfandel. 15.1% by volume,

 slightly sweet wine

The first thing noticed about the wine was that there was no cork; it was a twis-toff top. Given the price, I was surprised. Also, the wine color is dark purple, and very little light shines through the glass.

The wine’s nose was bold and enjoyable. I sensed a mix of berries. I also noted a definite whiff of alcohol.

Initially a little sweetness. The taste did not match the

aroma. The flavor was not as bold but smooth, with pleasing hints of plums and cherries.

The wine felt velvety in my mouth, and the tannins were round and not obtrusive.

The wine’s finish was long; it had a slight bitterness at the end.

I enjoy this wine very much. This wine will leave you longing for another glass. I bought it for the name but bought it again

because I enjoyed it.

Apothic Red Winemaker Blend

A Red wine from California  13.5% alcohol

 dry wine

This an inexpensive go to wine. Not a lot of dimension. It a wine that is easy going down.

Lamonthe Parrot Original

Lamothe Parrot Classic Reserve is a French wine

Alcohol % : 11 Content 187ML, 750ML

 sweet wine

A sweet fruity French wine. Full-bodied with a smooth, robust taste. It has a rich floral bouquet and overtones of grapes and berries. The aroma is very light compared to the aromatic taste. It has a smooth feel as it moves through your mouth. Very low tannins. It is on the sweet side with a delicate finish for a smooth, balanced wine-drinking experience. I enjoyed drinking this wine.
